    2020
    Client Charged with 8 counts of Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon, Possession of Firearm in Commission of a Felony, Criminal Trespass and Possession of Marijuana.  Also faced seven years on a probation violation in another county.  I was able to get his charges reduced to Reckless Conduct – misdemeanor and the probation reinstated.
    Client charged with Aggravated Assault (Family Violence), Family Violence Battery and Obstruction of Officer.  I was able to work the case down to Disorderly Conduct.


    2019

    Possession of Methamphetamine With Intent to Distribute, two counts of Possession of Methamphetamine , two counts of Possession and Use of Drug Related Objects and Failure to Appear Felony – dismissed. Client faced between 5 to 30 years on the possession of methamphetamine with intent charge, 2 to 15 years on the Possession of Methamphetamine (per charge) and up to twelve months on the Possession of Drug Related Objects.

    Client charged with Terroristic Threats and Acts and Possession of Firearm or Knife During Commission of a Felony – dismissed with Anger Management Classes and Alcohol Drug Evaluation and Treatment if necessary. Client faced 1 to 10 years and a fine up to $5,000.00 on the Terroristic Threats charge and 5 years consecutive on the Possession of Firearm or Knife charge.

    Client was on 1st Offender Felony probation with three years left. He was able to keep his first offender and be reinstated on probation. Faced a possible felony conviction if the judge revoked his 1st Offender and prison time. Also, he was reinstated back to probation.

    Theft by Shoplifting – dismissed through diversion. Client faced up to 12 months in jail and/or a fine of up to $1,000.00.

    Theft by Taking Felony – employee related theft. Dismissed upon payment of restitution.

    Driving with Suspended License – client faced up to 12 months in jail, fine of up to $1,000.00 and 12 months license suspension. Dismissed.

    Two counts of Hindering Person Making Emergency Telephone Call and two counts of Simple Battery – Family Violence – dismissed. Client faced up to 48 months in jail and/or a fine of up to $4,000.00.

    2018

    Misdemeanor shoplifting reduced to city ordinance (nothing on client’s record).  Client had multiple prior felonies but was still able to reduce.  Client looked at a possible 12 months in custody on the original charge and up to a $1,000.00 fine.  Negotiated 24 hrs community service and a $300.00 fine.

    Driving while License Suspended.- Client looked at 12 months probation, up to a $1,000.00 fine and possible license suspension. Result:  Reduced to Basic Rules (nothing shows on the client’s record) and $150.00 fine.

    Felony Theft by Deception – Client looked at 1 – 5 years.  Reduced to misdemeanor Reckless Conduct.  Client given 12 months probation, 100 hours community service and values clarification class.  Early termination of probation allowed.  Client had used his First Offender on a prior felony.

    Criminal Attempt to Commit Armed Robbery (2 counts), Aggravated Battery, Obstruction of Law Enforcement Officer and Possession of Knife During Commission of a Felony – Client faced up to forty (40) years in custody. Client given 10 years with 6 months in patient rehab. at a local facility.

    Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (4 counts) and Possession of Firearm During Commission of a Felony (2 counts) reduced to misdemeanor Simple Assault.

    Driving with License Suspended and Defective Headlights – Nolle Prossed.

    Forgery 1st Degree and Obtaining Dangerous Drugs by Fraud – Client faced up to 1 to 15 years and a possible 12 months on the misdemeanor.  Client given diversion with final result of dismissal.

    DUI Less Safe – Drugs – Under 21 years old, Possession of Marijuana Less Than an Ounce, Speeding reduced to Reckless Driving, all other charges dismissed. Client looked at possible 36 months in custody and/or $3,000.00 in fines plus mandatory license suspension.

    DUI – Reduced to Reckless Driving (traffic charge). Original charges were Speeding, Failure to Maintain Lane and DUI. Client blew on the scene .118 (legal limit is .08). Client faced up to 12 months in jail and/or fine of up to $1,000.00.

    Client faced Battery Family Violence, Simple Battery and Disorderly Conduct. Client looked at a total of 36 months in jail and a fine of up to $3,000.00 (maximums). Case dismissed.

    Simple Assault and Criminal Trespass – Dismissed through PTI. Client looked at total of up to 24 months and/or fine of up to $2,000.00.

    DUI – 3rd reduced to Reckless Driving. Client looked at substantial jail time, loss of license but no jail and no suspension. Reduced to Traffic Ticket.

    2nd Minor in Possession reduced to city ordinance disorderly conduct. Client looked at loss of license and possible jail time – Fine and Class.

    Hearing – Client deemed incompetent due to severe paranoid schizophrenia.  ADA wanted client committed to state facility.  We asked for outpatient with community outreach program because client has no insurance.  Judge granted our motion.

    Aggravated assault and family violence plus additional charge of Criminal Attempt at possession of Weapon by Convicted Felon – Dismissed

    Probation Warrant – Client looked at possible revocation with substantial prison time – Probation Warrant Lifted

    2017

    Felony – Trafficking Cocaine – Dismissed

    Felony – Possession with Intent to Sell to Undercover while on Federal

    Felony probation – Six months sentence with work release (Defendant given 18 hours a day outside of the jail to work)

    Housing Code Violation – Dismissed

    Sale of Alcohol to Minors – Dismissed

    Felony Willful Obstruction of Law Enforcement Officer by Use or Threats or Violence, Reckless Conduct by HIV Infected Person, Loitering and Prowling, 2 counts of Misdemeanor Willful Obstruction of Law Enforcement Officers and 2 counts of Simple Battery against Police Officer – Reduced to one count of Misdemeanor Obstruction.  My client was the only one who received a misdemeanor.  All other defendants plead to felonies.
